Raymond Hall | click | This was formerly the village hall.  Now a private house with the other building forming the new post office.

The Angel Coaching Inn | click | click | The Angel and Red Lion pubs have been at war since records began with the Angel as the preserve of the 'toffs' and Red Lion as 'the wrong side of the tracks'.  This has a history going back through Whigs 'v' Tories back to Cavaliers 'v' Roundheads.  At present it would seem that the Angel is for eating and the Lion for drinking.

Former shop opposite the Angel | click | The village had a plethora of shops until relatively recently including a butcher, a baker and, presumably, a candlestick maker.

The High Street | click | with the recently closed post office and stores.  This was formerly the main road from Bath to Salisbury (A36).

Stable Yard at Heytesbury House | click | This has now been converted into dwellings.  It formerly housed Siegfried's motorcar, a small tractor, a Bedford van and a satanic shrine | click |
